COURSE OVERVIEW:
This course is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage and maintain training and assessment records in compliance with regulatory requirements. In the vocational education and training (VET) sector, accurate and reliable record-keeping is crucial for ensuring transparency, accountability, and the integrity of qualifications awarded to learners.
In the first part of this course will provide you with a solid understanding of the various regulatory requirements governing record management in VET. You will explore key concepts such as the Unique Student Identifier (USI) System, Total VET Activity (TVA) Reporting, and data quality and integrity. Additionally, you will learn about Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) certification documentation requirements, compliance with regulatory bodies, and the scope of registration for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). Organisational procedures relating to maintaining training and assessment information, record-keeping, reporting, disseminating information to learners, navigating record information systems, and AVETMISS (Australian Vocational Education and Training Management Information Statistical Standard) overview will also be covered.
In the second part, you will learn how to effectively communicate with learners and provide them with relevant information about the training and assessment services provided by the RTO. You will learn to explain program content and assessment requirements clearly and concisely, confirm training schedules, and disseminate information to learners. You will also learn to collect, verify, and record personal learner information, progress, and training and assessment records in accordance with organisational and regulatory requirements. Organising certification documentation, completing final results, and providing data for national reporting purposes will also be addressed. Additionally, you will learn to identify, document, and address issues and irregularities encountered with recording and reporting activities within the scope of your role, and refer issues outside your scope to the appropriate personnel.
By the end of this course, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain training and assessment information effectively, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and contributing to the quality and integrity of vocational education and training delivery.
